SugarCRM (open source), Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics CRM - all interface with Outlook...

Salesforce and Microsoft CRM both integrate nicely. For 20 users, neither will be free.

Salesforce may be too much for your needs, it's somewhat targeted to large corporate users. SugarCRM is good, but you'll need some very technical people in your office to configure it for your use.

Another option is Zoho's CRM (http://crm.zoho.com/crm). They have free accounts for single users, and reasonable pricing for larger concerns. Zoho CRM interacts nicely with Outlook, as well. This is the one we use.

37 Signals also has a nice, affordable CRM called Highrise. It interacts with Outlook and also with their project management (Basecamp) and their information manager (Backpack) offerings. Start at http://www.37signals.com.

Hi Christer,

Sugar Opensource is the best option which is free and easy to use. We achieved integration with outlook using a small opensource plugin and even a mobile/SMS integration(which we developed)

For a small setup like yours, Sugar open source is best suited and can be either hosted online or, you can do it at your end.

Regards,
Satish

Hello Christer,

Outlook can be pretty powerful for just 20 of you if you use all the features etc.

If it doesn't do something particular, either customise it by "buying in" the services of a VB programmer.

Another consideration is may be to use something like documentum eRooms, this integrates with outlook and provides a collaboration space/knowledge resource.

Alternatively these links below also might help.
I've heard sage is pretty good

Hope this helps

Hi Christer! I have heard of Zoho and I think you should explore this possibility. We are implementing Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 and it achieves a really nice and smooth integration with Exchange. If you'd like Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 there is also the hosted alternative. If you follow the link you will find Microsoft's partners that provide hosted CRM services.

Christer,

Free?

Totally free?

Only vtigerCRM answers this question in full.

That is, giving that you want to use all the features that the CRM can give you.

Other CRMs that are "free", limit you to the amount of users, or give you "crippled" functionality until you pay.

The good thing about OpenSource solutions, is that you can install them with a click, and then test them.

I suggest you download the Windows version, and try it for yourself.

A nominal investment can get you into SugarCRM. You do not need to have an army of technical GURU’s to set it up. Many people think this because the product says Open Source and that has some baggage with respect to what people think the level of effort is to get it installed. Sugar Network is a support package option for Open Source users and the Outlook Plug-in is also available at a nominal fee for OS. Its worth a peek. The 5.0 release is coming out soon and there is some very nifty new stuff coming out for both OS and Commercial offerings.

Good Luck
